One of the first things you should know when getting a tattoo is how to take care of a new tattoo. Lucky for me I had a really good tattoo artist doing my tattoos if not I probably would have messed things up quite a bit and that would have been an unpleasant experience.
On one of my first pieces I used way too much ointment and drew a lot of the ink out of the new tattoo. I had to go in for some touch up work and go through the pain, again.
Any reliable tattoo shop and their artists will give you instructions on tattoo after care. Be sure you follow them properly. You really would not want to go through all that pain and then have something go wrong. Most artists will do touch up work for you, but it is certainly unnecessary pain.
Here are some tips and steps for how to care for a new tattoo
Keep the bandage over the new tattoo for several hours. After that remove the bandage covering the tattoo and do not re-bandage it. This allows the air to dry it and start the healing process.
Wash the new tattoo gently with an antibacterial soap. Do not scrub or use too much pressure. Make sure to rinse the area of any blood, bodily fluids, and soap. Do this every couple hours until the oozing stops.
After washing your new tattoo, apply a healing ointment to the area. Vitamin D ointment is highly recommended. Just don’t put too much. You’ll want to do this several times a day.
In addition to the ointment, or after several days of using just the ointment, begin moisturizing the tattooed area several times a day. Make sure to use an unscented and alcohol free moisturizer. This will help with the itching as the tattoo heals.
Avoid long baths, hot tubs, pools or any other prolonged exposure to water. Showers are fine, but again do not scrub the area vigorously or keep it soaking in water. If the tattoo is on your hand or wrist, avoid washing dishes for a prolonged period (lucky you!)
Avoid the sun. The sun can always do damage to your new tattoo, but especially so when your new tattoo is still healing. You do not want to dry out the healing tattoo area and definitely don’t want to get a sunburn. Always make sure to use a generous amount of sun block on your tattoo or your tattoo will fade.
Never pick or scratch the tattooed area, even (and especially) if it scabs up or some skin peels away. Allow the tattoo to fully heal on its own.
In general, use common sense when taking care of your new tattoo. Treat your tattoo like you would most other open wounds on your body. Wash it, moisturize it, keep it clean and avoid exposure to water and sunlight. Follow the above tips and you and your tattoo will end up well preserved, perfectly healed and you will be perfectly healthy.

Reframing is a technique of changing one’s perspective or changing a meaning of something. It’s a behavioral process of helping people become more successful life and to be able to express oneself more effectively.
This technique of personal development was created by studying and modeling the behavioral patterns of successful people in all walks of life. NLP has observed and studied these people and has made a wonderful discovery that can help you change your life for the better.
NLP is a collection of information – more like a “manual” for the brain. It’s a set of insights and skills that can help improve the mental and behavioral patterns of the people to achieve happiness and success in life.
Reframing technique is looking at things differently and changing your normal tendencies and reactions to any situations. Imagine seeing an original painting of Monaliza by Leonardo da Vinci in a cheap frame, your normal reaction would be, “this painting is not an original”. But again, when you see the same painting framed expensively you would say “this is an original”. The painting is the same, there were no two paintings that were framed, the only difference is the frames used at different circumstances and you reacted differently in both situations.
That is what reframing technique is all about – it changes your perspective of the same things. It changes your ideas, your belief and your normal tendencies in life. Reframing is a way of challenging yourself to see the positive in everything that is happening around you, however bad they can be. It gives you hope that even a situation feels very hurtful; there are lessons to be learned along the way, to help you become a better person.
Reframing changes the content and or context of a situation. How you think defines and determines how you react in any given circumstances. You can choose to be a victim or choose to learn from it and move on. As the saying goes, “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going”, that is a frame of mind. If you don’t have that kind of fighting spirit – then you can learn to adopt one.
For example: You feel that you are very demanding and overly bossy and people avoid you because of this personality trait. Instead of focusing on the negative side of your “very strong personality” why not try to look for something good about it. Like “women like their men strong, it gives them a feeling a protectiveness” and “I have reach my greatest potential because I demanded the best from myself.” You changed the negative content by reframing.
Instead of focusing on the negative aspect of your personality, look on the brighter side and cultivate what is good. Your strong personality can be your greatest asset if you know how to reframe your mind. Choose to use your strong personality by helping people feel protected or help someone step the ladder of success by teaching him/her your secret, and that is demanding only the best from yourself.
Every negative aspect of life can be reframed to help us find the positive side. Reframing gives people the ability to exercise their freedom to challenge themselves to always look for the good and the beautiful in everything they see. Reframing your mind will surely works wonder and makes you happier.

But again, when you know how you hope that even a victim or help us find the negative aspect of focusing on the free reframing technique is the way, to help us find the frames used at things differently and people the same, there were framed, the best from it gives people the best from it gives you would be, “this is happening around you, however bad they can help someone step the same, there are very demanding only the same, there were no two paintings that is not try to use your life for the same painting of information – then you happier.

In any decent auction on Ebay, you will find a photograph of the item. Now as a buyer, upon seeing the item you will sub-consciously start making judgments. “This guys house is a mess, can the item really be in good condition?” So as a seller, you need to capitalize on that and start making sure that your photographs look professional.
I’m going to teach you some basics. It’s not all to do with techy stuff - a lot of it is common sense. If you’re trying to sell something and claim it’s in good condition, don’t take a photo of it lying in the toilet. Common Sense. Firstly, the camera. You don’t have to get a top quality camera, A second-hand 1 or 2 mega pixel camera will do just fine.
Firstly, you need to be aware of the point of having a photo .
- Buyers want to see what they’re buying
- Prove it’s in good condition.
- And, to sell the item.
So, the basics. Firstly, concentrate on the item. Not your pet, not your table, or your carpet, or your neighbour, the item. How many auctions have you seen with a scruffy carpet underneath and a pair of boxers to the side of the item? And when you see those, do you instantly say : “Hey wow, that PSP is in great condition!”? No-one wants to know about your dog if you’re selling your TV, sorry. So put a piece of paper under the item, and zoom in. Get closer. It’s a good idea to try and crop the item in some sort of program on your computer - Photo Editing Software. Now your buyer can see what you’re selling in full, with information and condition visible.
If it’s a large item, photograph it against a clean wall, or wood of some sort. Just something that won’t attract attention and looks clean. Experiment a little. While you’ve got the camera out, try some other shots - for more information for the buyer, and to prove it’s got all round good condition. Try take the photographs during the day - as even using flash in the night can not work. Reflections and such will make you move around in order to get a clean shot - so just do it in the daylight, believe me. Check each picture as you take them. Re-take any blurry or out of focus pictures so the buyer can see all the information. Keep asking yourself, would I be happy with this? That’s the genius of a digital Camera. Don’t waste that awesome preview feature.
If the item is used, you can take it out the box and once again, show it’s good condition. If you’re selling it ‘brand new and sealed’ then that’s not a good idea, is it. Another shot will only take a few seconds, but could earn you a bit of cash. You can put something in with the item - like a key - so that people know the scale of the item. It can be hard to tell from photos.
And after that, it’s really all just common sense. You’ve taken some shots, crop ‘em on your computer and post the best ones up!
Find items quickly at online auctions and search for ebay misspellings by downloading the ebay toolbar

If you are an owner of indoor bronze pieces, there is a need to take a soft cloth for dust removal. No matter if there is built-up residue and grime from indoor storage or the outdoor showcasing, there are proper methods to cleaning your bronze sculptures. Basic dirt and grime are easily removed with a soft cotton clothe, room temperature water and a very mild chemical-free soap.
When you are sure of the soap not damaging the naturally surface worn patina, you may go ahead and continue a completely cleaning with the cotton pads or clothe and soapy distilled water.
There are many reasons for bronze to be such a highly chosen type of sculpture. Bronze is not only beautiful, but also durable in many ranges of environmental changes. But even with so much versatility, there still needs to be the proper care taken of your exquisite investment. Many of those that collect bronze sculptures may think that there is no necessary care for their artwork if the piece is established outdoors, but this is not true. It is no matter of your bronze artwork piece being indoors or outside, there is a minimal amount of needed care-taking.
If you are an owner of indoor bronze pieces, there is a need to take a soft cloth for dust removal. Although, dust may do no initial harm in light amounts, when it builds up in a thicker residue, there may be eventual damage done to the exterior. No matter if there is built-up residue and grime from indoor storage or the outdoor showcasing, there are proper methods to cleaning your bronze sculptures. Basic dirt and grime are easily removed with a soft cotton clothe, room temperature water and a very mild chemical-free soap.
If you are cleaning for the first time, it is best to make sure and check for any kind of ill-fated reaction to the soap that you are going to clean with. This can be done with a small cotton pad or swab with a cotton end, and the soapy mixture. It is best to do the checking in an area that is not obvious just in case there is any damage caused to the patina surface due to a reaction to the soap. Due to any chemical additives that may be put into your water, it is best to use distilled water instead of tap water. Make sure to let the test area fully dry, so to not have any chemical reaction.
When you are sure of the soap not damaging the naturally surface worn patina, you may go ahead and continue a completely cleaning with the cotton pads or clothe and soapy distilled water. It is best to use cotton pads that can be tossed, or make sure that the cleaning clothe will rinse completely of the dirt being washed. This is important so to be able to not have any dirt particles within the cloth or pads being put back in to any small crevasses of your Bronze sculpture. It is important to completely dry after rinsing, and then apply a good bronze wax for protection.

There is the menorah that the Torah says that this light is to be lit every afternoon within the Jerusalem Holy Temple, and the Hanukkah lights are to be lit at each nightfall of evening during the eight days of the Hanukkah festival.
The lamps of Hanukkah had originated from the lighting of the Menorah. While the original Holy Temple of the menorah holds only seven flames of light to be lit through out the day of everyday, and the Hanukkah menorah is of eight lit lamps to be lit only during the festival of Hanukkah.
In the Jewish tradition, the mitzvah of lighting the Hanukkah lamp of oil or even candles, is to be done at sunset. The Hanukkah lights are to be lit at sunset and placed in the doorway of the home. If you live higher than ground level, the Hanukkah lights are to be lit and placed in the window facing out towards the entering street area of your home. In the Torah, every lit lamp of mitzvah, there is direct representation of the world being illuminated with harmony and wisdom from all the ignorance strife and darkness.
It is explained as with every mitzvah there is a lamp, but there are two mitzvot of the lighting of the lamps.
The Hanukkah festival of lights began with the past sages to give honor and remembrance of the amazing rebirth within the Holy Temple of the light after being forced out during the 2nd Century BCE, by the rulers of the Hellenists within the Holy Land.
The original Holy Temple menorah stood five feet in height and was a candelabra with seven branches extending up for holding the lights. It was completely solid gold and on top there sat seven oil-burning lamps. These seven lit lamps of individual flames were fueled with only the most premium of olive oils. The special preparation of the olive oil to be as fuel for the menorah had to meet complete purity of spiritual means, and was created under very special conditions. This was so to have only the best spiritual light of physical expression that would illuminate light from the Holy Temple. This was of the utmost importance because Jerusalem’s Holy Temple has always been believed to be the epicenter of the manifested presence of God in the life of humanity, according to the Talmud.
While the original Holy Temple of the menorah holds only seven flames of light to be lit through out the day of everyday, and the Hanukkah menorah is of eight lit lamps to be lit only during the festival of Hanukkah. Bronze sculpting is a medium of alloy metal that has been around for centuries, and even had an era time period named after it, called the Bronze Age. The artistically beautiful works of bronze sculpture has literally been around since ancient times. What first was sculpted from stone eventually became sculpted from bronze throughout Egypt, India, Greece, Rome and the rest of the world. Bronze was not originally specifically the cherished sculpting metal that it is today. Before the coming of the bronze sculptures, the bronze metal its self was originally used in the makings of weaponry and other useful items. But with the uniqueness of expanding within the casting so well to details, bronze soon was recognized as a wonderful sculpture material.
Along with the ease of detail of bronze sculptures, there also became a cherished uniqueness of outer changing beauty that only happens with bronze, and that is the patina that begins to happen over time to the outer layers of any bronze. Although patina is the changing of the outer bronze colors naturally, there has also been the artificial ways of getting many patina color variations for the beautification and for the looks of natural antiquity of the bronze sculpture its self. Artificial patina being applied upon the sculptures of bronze was highly popular during the Renaissance period just for the purpose of making a bronze sculpture seemingly look as if it is of one from antique collections.
These artificial effects would create the exact replicas of antiquity with the colors of greens, browns and all in between variances of natural bronze aging shades. But in the late 19th Century and the early 20th Century, with the desires for the artificially coloring of bronze took a completely different turn toward an expansion with many different colorful variations. With the chemical coloring expansion of bronze, there are many bronze artists of today that love to experiment with the numerous chemical ways of bringing out a wide number of colorful reactions upon their bronze artwork.
There is not only a fun point of classic uniqueness when an artist truly has learned the many wonderful techniques of modern day artificial patina, but there is a necessity and desire to know these many methods of patina so be able to properly repair severely damaged bronze statues and other bronze artworks. For those who truly respect the natural artist beauty of the Bronze sculpture that they have collected, there is a dire need to have it properly repaired as if the damage had never happened to begin with. One of the most common ways of bronze sculpture damage is done by nature’s horribly strong storms that may happen from time to time, and when damaged is caused, the owner of the bronze artwork will pay to have the bronze professionally repaired and the patina to be as exact as possible to its natural state. For these reasons, the artistic knowledge of artificial patina is very important.

The Netsuke became somewhat of an artistically and individually exception to that rule of control and dictation in societal quiet cohesiveness. This was so to at least experience a form of expressive freedom through the Netsuke toggle personally chosen to be worn upon their clothing.
Since Netsuke was best done with hard mediums of materials, different types of ceramic were used, ivory from several different animal and mammal species were used, and hard ocean corrals, along with metals of different variations were also used to make Netsuke. The katabori are of a three dimensional carving, and there is exquisite characteristic details around around the katabori Netsuke. The sashi Netsuke is recognizable for its length being more emphasized in shape and form.
All because the Japanese Kimono that was traditional clothing for everyone over 300 years ago, had no pockets, the Netsuke pieces highly valued today had only evolved out of an necessity for a need so many years ago. As far back as the 17th Century, the Netsuke was at first created to hold closed small satchels that were worn around the waste area, along with the sash or obi that held the kimono in it’s proper position. The satchels were for carrying small objects of need or desire throughout the individual’s day. To hold closed the satchel containing their personal belongings, was at first an ojime bead to hold closed the silk string and satchel, but the Netsuke toggle soon came along to also do the job of what the ojime piece had been doing.
These Netsuke toggles very quickly went from a necessary fastener upon the string and satchel or box, to a personally unique artistic piece of exquisite expression. Since adornment with jewelry was not a part of the Japanese culture during this time period, the Netsuke was to become one of the largest parts of openly individual expressiveness to be openly worn, during a time that the reigning empires did not allow most forms in a freedom of expression in any nature. The Netsuke became somewhat of an artistically and individually exception to that rule of control and dictation in societal quiet cohesiveness. This was so to at least experience a form of expressive freedom through the Netsuke toggle personally chosen to be worn upon their clothing.
These small Netsuke items were quickly artistically detailed and refined, to show highly crafted sophistication within every Netsuke piece created. Originally Netsuke was at first made from hard woods and lacquer coated for protection, and some would eventually have silver and gold inlays put upon the detailed areas. Since Netsuke was best done with hard mediums of materials, different types of ceramic were used, ivory from several different animal and mammal species were used, and hard ocean corrals, along with metals of different variations were also used to make Netsuke. All of these are the same materials often used today for making highly detailed traditional Netsuke for collections.
There are truly only five main original formations of Netsuke, and are all one inch tall in approximately, and one inch deep to one inch wide. These five main Netsuke original types are known as sashi, ryusa, katabori, kagamibuta, and manju. The kagamibuta, the ryusa and the manju would be of the slightly variational flattened rounded designs. The katabori are of a three dimensional carving, and there is exquisite characteristic details around around the katabori Netsuke. The sashi Netsuke is recognizable for its length being more emphasized in shape and form.

This is done by taking twisted and thin silver wiring designs and laying them upon the flat surface specifically for the enamel filled areas.
There are several other silver and enamel inlay methods and another very popular one to come along after the Cloisonne and the Filigree techniques is the Champleve method. There are Jewish Laws on how to position the Mezuzah, the doorways of where to locate the Mezuzah, and how often to check the Mezuzah. The religious Jewish Law states that the Mezuzah Scroll must have two covers, with one being the protective material of a wax paper or any type of greaseproof and waterproof paper. The second cover would be of round tube like casing made of silver for the rolled up scroll to be securely put into. When using a Silver Mezuzah make sure that it is of the right size so that there is enough breathing room for the scroll, as not to damage it. The other concern is problems of oxidation of silver which may damage the inner scroll, if care is not taken. Make sure to polish your silver Mezuzahs often, but remove the scroll first.
There are other materials which are used to handcraft a Mezuzah besides silver. The main point of consideration before choosing the metal mezuzah is whether it are going to be placed outside or inside the home. When placing the Mezuzah outdoors the materials must be able to weather extreme climate appropriate. Materials such as silver, gold, stone, wood or any whitish tone of protection should be considered so as to deflect strong sun light, unlike darker colors or transparent materials. Moisture is also an important concern, if there is a lot of rain, moist humidity or condensation would start affecting the Mezuzah on the outside or the parchments inside.
